Ph.D. positions
1-2 Ph.D. positions are available for enrollment in Spring or Fall 2027. Applicants should hold a B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Robotics, Material Science, or related fields. Highly qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for the Ph.D. program in Data and Systems Engineering at HKU and indicate your interest in working with Prof. Yang Xu in the application. All admitted Ph.D. students will be fully supported either by the Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS), HKU Presidential Ph.D. Scholar Programme (HKU-PS), or Postgraduate Scholarships (PGS).
